J. Raymond Young, a Lake Havasu City resident died September 2, 2005. He was born in Minneapolis, MN on January 19, 1927. He was a longtime St. Paul, MN car dealer. Ray graduated from St. Thomas Academy and Macalester College. He was a WWII Air Force Veteran and an active member of the Desert Hawks RC group, the Havasu Sport Flyers Association and a lifetime member of the LHC Friends of the Library.Ray is survived by his present wife Joan; sons, David C. Young and Michael B. Shields; daughters, Sandra Alden and Julie Nordendale, all of St. Paul, MN.He was preceded in death by his father J. Raymond Young; mother, Ruth Hobart Young; first wife Gretchen Eichhorn Young; brothers David and John and stepson Robert E. Shields.Following cremation, private services will be held in St. Paul, MN.Condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.Arrangements entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
