James T. Doke (Tarzan), 64 of Lake Havasu City passed away on Thursday, September 15, 2005. He was surrounded by his loving family after an eight year battle with liver disease. James was born on November 5, 1940 in East Los Angeles, CA. For many years James took pride in assisting his wife in the operation of PARTY EXPRESS as well as The WEDDING SPECIALIST. A former truck driver, he loved being on the road and was a retired member of the Hiwaymen Motorcycle Club. He enjoyed hunting, the outdoors, football, boxing, traveling, theater, opera and loved cooking from B.B.Q. to gourmet specialties. Most of all he loved his family and made each one feel special. James is survived by his loving wife, Mimi Doke of Lake Havasu City; a blended family of three sons and eight daughters as well as 22 grandchildren, 2 great grandchildren with 3 more great grandchildren he was looking forward to meet.A private viewing and cremation took place at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Friday. Services will be held at Victor Valley Mortuary in Victorville, CA on Saturday, September 24 at 11:30. A portion of his ashes will be transported by motorcycle for the service then to Idaho to be shot over the Selway River by his club brothers. Another portion will be scattered at several of his favorite places across the country.
