Patricia Gail Akly, the "Foxy Lady" lost her final battle with lung cancer and died on September 18, 2005 at home in Lake Havasu City with her husband and mother holding her hand. She was born on July 25, 1946 in Little Rock, AR. She moved to Los Angeles, CA with her parents and her older sister when she was 5 years old. She grew up in Southern California and was a typical California girl.Patricia graduated from John Marshall High School in Los Angeles and attended Glendale Community College, taking accounting and business courses. During most of her career she was employed as a business/officer manager for various auto dealerships in the Los Angeles area. In 1994, she received an offer from the Lake Havasu City Chrysler dealer to come to work for them as their office manager, the position she held until the dealership was sold 7 years later. More recently, she worked for a real estate developer in Lake Havasu as office manager. She had to resign from her job due to the advanced stages of her lung and brain cancer.Pat was involved in many hobbies in her life and enjoyed them all. In California she did sports car racing and flying with her husband. While in Havasu she loved the lake, boating, water-skiing, day camping on the lake, etc. She also enjoyed entertaining, dancing, cooking and traveling around the United States and Europe.Pat is survived by her best friend and beloved husband of 36 years, Charles Akly and mother, Frances G. Scarborough of Lake Havasu.She was preceded in death by her sister and her father.A celebration of Pat's life will be held Saturday, September 24, 2:00 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.Condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.Arrangements entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
