Obituary of Lorraine BERGGREN

Lorraine Ethel Berggren, 85, passed away October 5, 2005 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on December 27, 1919 to George and Elizabeth (Rickard) Youngstrom in Sioux City, IA.Lorraine and her late husband Bob owned and managed Whispering Pines Resort in Lake Kabetogama, MN. Every 4th of July, Lorraine would make her famous strawberry cream cheese pie for everybody who was staying at the resort. She was an avid lover of deer and had raised a fawn for several years, naming her Bambi. Her and Bob even let the fawn live with them in their lodge. Every time someone opened the refrigerator, Bambi would come running.Lorraine also loved doing crafts, playing bingo and cards. She was a member of the Kabetogama United Methodist Church.She will be dearly missed by her loving family, sons, Gary (Susan) Berggren of Daluth, MN and Jeffrey (Clarice) Berggren of King George, VA; sisters, Lucille Kinnard of Lake Havasu and Betty (Gayle) Brooks of Bemidji, MN; eleven grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren.Lorraine was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 37 years, Robert Berggren who passed away in 1997 and her daughter Patricia E.
