Obituary of Doris EAGLES

Doris Eagles, 97, passed away on Tuesday, December 13, 2005 at the home of her daughter in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on May 13, 1908 in Stetson, Maine. During her early adult career, she was a dressmaker by trade, owning her own dressmaker shop in Lynn, MA. Doris married Harold Eagles in 1934, thus beginning a new career as a homemaker/stay at home mom. Together they built a home and raised one child, Elizabeth in Medway, MA. As a couple they were a master at mixing hard work and pleasure. Together and as a family they enjoyed camping, mountain climbing, and traveling the less traveled highways and byways of this great Nation and Canada, enjoying its natural wonders. They traveled the roads in everything from vintage Model A Fords to the more sheik custom vans. In 1996 her beloved husband of 62 years passed away. In 1999, Doris moved with her daughter to Lake Havasu City, AZ; where she resided until her death.With her passing she leaves her only child, Elizabeth Eagles; sister Phyllis Jacobs Cromwell of Bullhead City, AZ; brother/sister-in-law Clyde and Helen Eagles of Eastham, MA; and many nieces and nephews; Joseph Jacobs, Ellen Tillson, Richard Watts, Roger Watts, Virginia Bernard, Douglas Eagles and Donna Hunolt. She was preceded in death by her husband Harold Eagles, a nephew David Jacobs and a niece Kathy Speranza.Doris was a great wife, mother and a lot of fun to know and to be with.
