Galloway, 86, passed away on Sunday, December 18, 2005 at Lake Hills Inn in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. She was born in Charleston, West Virginia on July 25, 1919, and grew up in the Capitol city of the Mountain State.Sarah and her husband, Gene, moved to Lake Havasu City in 1976. He passed away in 1992. She had remained in the community for nearly 30 years and worked at the front desk of the Best Western Lake Place for a considerable time.Sarah adored dogs and had several beloved pets by her side during her years in Lake Havasu. She also loved reading and her easy smile and gracious manner earned her instant friends wherever she went. Although she was confined to the Lake Hills Inn in recent months, she loved her relationships with her nurses, therapists and the nurses' aides who took care of her from day to day.Sarah loved Lake Havasu, but never forgot her great affection for the mountains and people of West Virginia, the state where she raised five children.Sarah is survived by her son, Roger (who is News Director of Tri-State Network TSN) of Lake Havasu; daughters Alice Galloway of Tualatin, OR and Betty Igo and Mary Jo Mozingo of Charleston, WV; a sister, Betty of Pensacola, FL; six grandchildren - Kate and Megan Neely of Tualatin, Keely Steele, Sarah and Jason Stover, and Adrienne Galloway, all of Charleston, WV; and one great-grandchild, Sully.A celebration of her life will be held on Saturday, January 7, 2006 at 2:00pm at the Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory in Lake Havasu.Condolences can be made to her family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.com.Donations may be made in her name to Western Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr., Lake Havasu City, AZ. 86404.Arrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
