Frances Lorraine Miller, 85, passed away December 18, 2005 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on March 31, 1920 to William and Adeline Moore in El Monte, CA.Lorraine graduated from Huntington Park High School in 1938 and Woodbury College in Los Angeles, CA in 1940 where she was a member of Sigma Iota Chi sorority. She was married October 9, 1942 to William Miller. Lorraine worked for the Navy during WWII. In 1953 Bill and Lorraine moved to Norwalk, CA where he practiced medicine as an OB/Gyn. They lived in Norwalk until 1995. In Norwalk, Lorraine was an active member and officer of the Norwalk Women's Club. For the past 10 years Bill and Lorraine have been dual residents of Lake Havasu City and Banning, CA. She was a member of Pass Patchers quilt group in Banning and Havasu Stitchers in Lake Havasu City. She was also an active member of Western Welcome and a lifetime member of the American Legion Women's Auxiliary since the age of 9. Over 63 years of marriage Lorraine and Bill enjoyed traveling throughout the world. Her grandchildren and many friends remember her as the "Hostess with the Mostest"!Lorraine is survived by her best friend and beloved husband, William; son, Stephen (Gloria) Miller of Alameda, CA; daughter Judy (Tony) Martinez of Prescott, AZ; five grandchildren, Andy, Jeff, Ronda, Amanda and Melanie and five great grandchildren.Memorial services will be held Thursday, December 22, 2005, 3:00 pm at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Rev. Carol Sheffield will officiate.
