Obituary of John B Howard

John (Jack) B. Howard, Jr. passed away on March 13, 2016 at his home in Lake Havasu City, Arizona. Jack was born on November 3, 1937 to John and Lois Howard in Denver, Colorado. He worked as a manager in the astronautics industry for Martin Marietta/Lockheed Martin. On February 14, 1958, Jack wed Gladys Gagne in Boston, Massachusetts. They were married for 58 wonderful years. Jack was a devoted family man and loved his 4 children, eleven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren above all else. He had a passion for creative story telling. His favorite times were spent entertaining and cooking for family and friends. He also enjoyed being outdoors in his Colorado Mountains and loved Lake Havasu Arizona. Jack held memberships with the Martin Aerospace Retirement Society, Masons, Elks, Eagles, and the Happy Hackers of Grand Lake Golf Course. Jack was preceded in death by his parents, John and Lois (Reed) Howard and his sister Patricia Atteberry. He is survived by his wife, Gladys Howard; daughters, Susan Lancaster, of Littleton, Colorado and Sharon (Greg) Anderson, of Castle Rock, Colorado; sons, Robert (Holly) Howard, of Castle Rock, Colorado and Joseph (MaryKay) Howard, of Colorado Springs, Colorado; brother, David (Ingrid) Howard, of Erie, Colorado; sister, Carol Howard, of Ft. Collins, Colorado and Aunt Shirley (Bob) Coulson, of Phoenix, Arizona. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in John's name to the Mountain Family Center - Cancer Related Services, PO Box 638, Granby, CO. 80446, or any charity that is near to your heart. Services will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Friday, March 18, 2016 at 4:00PM with a future celebration of life held in Colorado.
