Jewel L. "Mickey" Pfau, 75, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2006. She was born March 6, 1930 in Refugio Texas and was raised in Central CA. She and her husband Ed moved to Lake Havasu City in 1990 when he retired from the Navy. Jewel was proud of being a military wife and took her role of the woman behind the man very seriously. She loved to entertain, was a wonderful cook and an excellent hostess.Jewel enjoyed people. She had an easy smile and a gracious manner and never knew a stranger. She was loved by all who knew her and always found time for friends needs. She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi, Preceptor Beta Alpha chapter. She was an avid reader and loved her dogs.Jewel is survived by her loving husband of 38 years, Edward Pfau; her daughter, Janice Burrage; her mother, Malinda Ball; her brother, Joe Mays; her sisters, Linda Reachert and Julie Cambell; two grandchildren, five great grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews, all of whose lives were lovingly impacted by her presence.A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, January 14, 2005 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Richard Rounds officiating. A gathering of those who loved her will follow at 2425 George Lane, Lake Havasu City, AZ; to celebrate her life.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her name to the charity of your choice.Condolences and thoughts may be made to lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
