Please share a memory of Margaret to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Margaret Buzea Charno, 86, passed away peacefully on January 30, 2006 at her home in Lake Havasu City AZ. She was born September 3, 1919, to Bercan and Mina Buzea, Romanian born emigrants, in East Chicago, Indiana. She married Peter T. Charno on January 30, 1943 in Warren, OH. Marge graduated from Washington High School in East Chicago, IN; in June 1937. After graduation she worked for Youngstown Sheet and Tube, as a sheet inspector. Marge later worked for Peerless Electric Co., in Warren, OH; as an inspector. She moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; in January 1971. Marge was a great seamstress and enjoyed making bridal gowns for friends and family. She was a superb cook particularly of traditional Romanian dishes. She passed her cooking skills on to her children. Even though she was handicapped for the past thirty years, it did not affect her love and zest for life. Marge loved cruising vacations, having sailed on 28 cruises while her health allowed. Her one small vice was playing the slots in Laughlin or Las Vegas, NV; which she thoroughly enjoyed. Her main interest in life was her family. No family could have been more loved than we were by her. She will be sorely missed by her husband, children, grandchildren and friends, but we take comfort knowing that she now dwells in God's house in peace and serenity forevermore.Marge is survived by her husband of 63 years, Peter T. Charno; son Tom (Trish) Charno of Detroit, MI; daughters Beverly (Rick) Stephens and Tracey (Jeff) Bergstrom of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Peggy (Don) Latterman of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; brother Virgil Buzea of Indiana; six grandchildren, Andrea and Joshua Bergstrom of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Stephanie and Paul Latterman of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA; Amanda and Tommy Charno of Detroit, MI.
