Obituary of Brian WHITAKER

Brian David Whitaker, 49, passed away on February 5, 2006 at Havasu Regional Medical Center in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on July 1, 1956 in Pomona, CA; and grew up in Claremont, CA.Brian moved to Lake Havasu City from Alta Loma, CA; where he raised his son Chris and daughter Lissa. Brian purchased a vacation home in Lake Havasu City, AZ; and soon after moved his family here permanently in 1994. Brian loved being near the water, so working at Lake Havasu Marina was an obvious choice, were he worked as a grounds supervisor. He loved boating, fishing, cruising on his bike and spending time laughling and having fun with his many friends.Brian is survived by his son Chris Whitaker and wife Amber of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter Melissa Whitaker of Long Beach, CA; mother Mary Jane Whitaker of Joseph, OR; brothers Jim and Wayne Whitaker both of California, sister Barbara Moyer and husband Harvey of Joseph, OR; and his loving nieces and nephews as well as other family and friends, Oh, and his faithful dog Shep.A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, February 11, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Chaplain Jeromy Wells will be officiating.
