Obituary of Louis BRENNER

Louis J. Brenner, 84, passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2006 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on June 14, 1921 in Mc Keesport, PA; to Daniel and Alice Brenner.Louis married Phyllis Kiernan in New Zealand on October 5, 1942. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard as Boatwain Mate, 2nd class from December 10, 1941 to June 20, 1946 in the Asiatic and Pacific areas, including the invasions of Guadacanal, Tulagi and Bougainville. Louis worked various sales jobs and spent 20 years as a merchandising specialist for the State of Florida. He retired in 1986 and moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; from Grass Valley, CA; in 1998. Louis loved to travel and was fond of spending time with his family. He made numerous trips to Phyllis's home in New Zealand, including a return trip to the Guadacanal in 1991. Louis was a life member of the V.F.W., Disabled Veterans, Elks, American Legion, NRA, and California Rifle and Pistol.Louis is survived by his loving wife Phyllis, son Gary Brenner and wife Lucy, Sandra Bark, Cheryl Chenoweth and husband Lyle; grandchildren Debbie Gardner and husband Mike; Craig Bark; Doug Chenoweth and wife Daryl; Philip Brenner and wife Erika; Ryan Brenner and wife Suzanne; great grandchildren Nicolas Gardner; Mallory Brenner and Maryn Brenner.Louis was loved by his family and friends and they will all miss him dearly.Donations can be made in Louis's name to the Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr; Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86404.Condolence and thoughts may be made to his family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.
