Obituary of Frances DERBY

DERBY, Frances Rose (Hamerski) passed away on April 2, 2006 in the home of her son and daughter-in-law Leo and Linda Derby. Frances was born on September 20, 1919 in her home in Northeast Minneapolis, MN. She attended the University of Minnesota Nursing School in Minneapolis, MN. Shortly after graduation she enlisted in the United States Navy and served as a nurse in Seattle, the South Pacific, and Annapolis. She was married on September 3, 1949 to Howard Derby at Holy Cross Catholic Church in Minneapolis, MN. She is survived by her husband of 56 years, her four children: Yvonne Brenne and significant other Tom Bailey of Stacy, MN, Mary and husband Eli Berry of Mora, MN, Leo and wife Linda Derby of Albuquerque, NM, Carol and Husband Dennis Alm of New Brighton, MN, and grandchildren John and wife Andi Brenne, Kristen and Sarah Berry and Elizabeth Derby.Frances was a wonderful wife, mother, and friend. She will be dearly missed. The loving care she received from her beloved husband, family, and especially her daughter-in-law, Linda Derby, made her last days peaceful.Should friends desire, memorials may be made to Hospice of Havasu, P.O.
