Ferris "Red" Paight, 80, passed away on Friday, May 19, 2006 in Lake Havasu City, AZ; after a lingering illness. He was born on March 11, 1926 in Bessemer, MI; to Walter and Hilda Paight.Red moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; as a full time resident in 1988. He was employed by the City of Detroit, MI; as a Sr. Clerk for 32 years. Red proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy WWII; and was a member of the Elks, Eagles, American Legion and V.F.W. Red was an avid fisherman and loved Lake Havasu City. He was a quiet, caring man, well known for his western hat, clothes, kindness, soft voice and subtle humor. Red's favorite past times were dancing, playing cards and bingo with his wife Jo. He will be missed, but never forgotten. Red is survived by his loving wife Josie "Jo" Cifolelli Paight, sisters Joyce Pfahlert, Beverly Petchel, nieces Julie Mohr, Lesa Albonelli, nephews Larry Pfahlert, Danny and Michael Paight, David, Robert, and Michael Petchell. He was a loving stepfather to Jo's children; Gina Cifolelli, Denise Marcelt, Darryl Cifolelli, John Cifolelli and Jodi Griffin.He was preceded in death by his brother Marvin Paight. Red's last gift was to Lifelegacy Foundation.A memorial service will be held at the Eagles Aerie 4299 on Sunday, June 4, 2006 at 2:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that donations be made to American Legion Post #81, 1814 Paseo Del Sol, Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86403 or Eagles Aerie 4299, 5161 Marlboro Dr; Lake Havasu City, AZ; 86403.
