Robert James Arneson, 70, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2006 in Las Vegas, NV. He was born on January 19, 1936 in Cooperstown, ND; to James and Ruth (Sklaar) Arneson.Bob moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 8 years ago from Placentia, CA. He worked as a mechanical engineer for J.C. Penney's in Buena Park, CA; for 30 years. Bob was a member of the B.P.O.E Lodge #2399 and Eagles Aerie 4299 and was also an avid Nascar fan, cheering on the #22 car driven by Ward Burton.Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years Gaynell Arneson, son Timothy Arneson and wife Leslee of Thousand Oaks, CA; daughters Cynthia Page and husband Rick of Laguna Hills, CA; Jill McKay of Yorba Linda, CA; brother Richard Arneson and wife Karen of Pflugerville, TX; sisters Arlene Weiland and husband Gordon of Austin, TX; Marilyn Mortenson and husband Mort of Mount Vernon, IA; sister-in-law Frances Arneson of Austin, TX; grandchildren Michael, Kassandra and Joshua. Bob was preceded in death by his parents and his brother John.A Celebration of Life will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, June 3, 2006 at 1:00 p.m. Pastor Bill Schroeder will be officiating.
