Irene Marie Constant passed away on August 29, 2015 in Lake Havasu City, AZ at 76 years of age. She was born to Virginia and Don Bour on January 4, 1939 in Tiffin, OH. She was wed to Manuel "Manny" Constant on February 20, 1997 at Our Lady of Peace in Santa Clara, CA: they were married for 18 years.
Irene was a graduate of a writer's correspondence course and had her short story, "Pocket Change" published in the Old Days Magazine in September 2003. She was employed for 22 years at the City of Mountain View as an Aquatics Administrator. She liked to read and travel. She worked as a Cruise Consultant after she retired and enjoyed multiple cruises with her husband. She was a member of the Altar Society at Our Lady of Peace Catholic Church.
Irene is survived by her husband, Manny Constant of Lake Havasu City; son, Louis F. Galliazzo of Valley Springs; daughter, Suzanne Gonzales of San Jose; brothers, Michael, Donny, Eddie and Tony Bour; sisters, Roberta Brenner, Marilyn Blanco, Christine Bour, Kathy Bryan, Jenny Bour; 5 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents.
She loved her family very much. She loved her daughter with a passion and she was very proud of her son, a retired Police Officer of California Highway Patrol. She had a special place in her heart for her dog, Annie.
A rosary service will be held at 9:30 am followed by a memorial on Saturday, September 26th at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church.
