Obituary of Donald MCGUIRE

Donald Paul McGuire passed away holding his cherished wife's hand on June 4, 2006 in his home in Lake Havasu City, AZ after a long, courageous battle with cancer.Don lived a very productive, colorful life. He was a very talented steel guitarist, and starting at only 17 years old, grew his expertise and impeccable reputation as a custom home contractor, building hundreds of beautiful homes in the southern California area.Don could often be seen slalom waterskiing on Lake Havasu, a place so dear to his heart, with his silver hair sparkling in the sun. He water-skied well into his seventies.Don was a very loving, kind man who loved his best friend of sixty years, his wife Elsie, with all of his heart.Don is survived by his devoted wife Elsie, his daughter, son-in-law and grandson, Elisa, Anders and Nicholai Christensen of Santa Barbara, CA, his grandsons Terry and Levi McGuire, his sister and brother-in-law Mary and Sam Tozer of Kingman, AZ and his brother Ken McGuire of Palm Desert.He is preceded in death by his children Terry and Rhonda McGuire, his brother Robert and his parents Donald and Claudia McGuire Kiter.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
