William Howard Stacy, 77, passed away June 9, 2006 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Henry and Lou Ina (Tackett) Stacy on June 23, 1928 in Van Lear, KY.Bill completed high school in 1946, and then enlisted in the United States Marine Corp on May 6, 1946. He received basic training on Paris Island, S.C. and then went on to aviation technical school in Quantico, VA to complete parachute training. He served 3 years and then enlisted in the Reserves.Bill married his best friend Evelyn M. Nash on July 30, 1949. He was called back to the USMC on August 8, 1950. From November 13, 1950 to July 27, 1952, he served in Korea as Staff Sergeant in field equipment.Bill moved to Lake Havasu City, Arizona from Medway, Ohio 16 years ago. He was a salesman for Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens and a Pre-need salesman for Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home and Crematory.Bill is survived by his beloved bride of 56 years, Evelyn; sons, Steven Stacy of Yucca, Arizona, William "Bill" Stacy of Lake Havasu City, Arizona, Stan Stacy of St. Mary's, Ohio; grandchildren Jason Stacy, Michael Stacy, Kala Stacy, Ian Stacy; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Henry and Lou Ina Stacy, brothers Troy Stacy, Estille Stacy, Garfield Stacy and sister Mary B. Rogal.Visitation will be held on Monday June 12, 2006 at Lietz-Fraze Chapel from 6 - 8 PM. Funeral services will be on Tuesday on June 13, 2006 at 10:00 AM. at Lietz-Fraze Chapel with Pastor Bill Schroeder officiating.In lieu of flowers donations can be made in Bill's name to Western Arizona Humane Society, 1100 Empire Dr., Lake Havasu City, Arizona 86404.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
