Obituary of Melvin HIGGINS

Melvin Walker Higgins, 72, passed away June 28, 2006 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on January 18, 1934 in Glendale, CA. Melvin married his best friend Jean Brannon on September 12, 1954. Together, they made Lake Havasu their home 6 years ago from Burbank, CA. Melvin owned and operated his own service station, specializing in auto repairs in Glendale, CA for 40 years. He served his country proudly under the direction of the United State Air National Guard. He was also a member of the London Bridge Yacht Club.Melvin leaves behind his beloved wife of 51 years, Jean; sons, Herb (Cathy) Higgins of Las Vegas, NV and Mel (Terri) Higgins of Chatsworth, CA; daughter, Teri (Mike) Smith of Burbank, CA; grandchildren, Jennifer and Michael Higgins, both of Las Vegas, NV, Jarad (Tina) Eldred of Canyon Country, CA, Keith Higgins of Chatsworth, CA and Tyler and Travis Smith, both of Burbank, CA.A memorial service will be held Wednesday, July 12, 2006, 11:30 am at Mount Olive Lutheran Church. Donations may be made in Melvin's name to the American Cancer Society, for prostate cancer research at 2929 E.
