Charles B. Dahle, 79, passed away on July 14, 2006 in Lake Havasu City, AZ of natural causes and will be buried in the National Cemetery in Riverside, CA. He was born on October 21, 1926 in Stewartville, MNCharles served his country in the United States Marine Corps for 30 years and retired in 1975. He had served aboard the USS Philippine Sea CV-44 aircraft carrier in 1946 - 1947 with the Antarctic Expedition of Admiral Byrd. He also served in Viet Nam from 1967 to 1968. During his military career he was stationed at bases in Rhode Island, Idaho, Washington, Hawaii, Japan and California. After he retired from the military he owned and operated a private trucking company until he retired and moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ in 1992.Charles enjoyed is family, fishing, gardening, camping and baseball.Charles is survived by his wife 59 years, Ruth Dahle; four children, Andrea Bingenheimer, Sheila Dahle, Rhonda Bennett and Charles P. Dahle; sister, Sue Johnson of Clinton, WI; three brothers, Laurence Dahle of Phoenix, AZ, Ray Christian of Fertile, MN and Eugene Johnson of White Bear Lake, MN; six grandchildren, Jason, Stacie and Miles Bennett and Leslie Bennett-Ross of New Mexico, and Thomas and Erin Bingenheimer; and three great grandchildren, Sean and Miles Bennett and Bryce Ross of California.Charles was preceded in death by his sister, Katherine Vaughn and three brothers, George Dahle, Roy Christian and Gordon Tellijohn.Charles will be greatly missed.Funeral services will be held Tuesday, July 25, 2006 at 11:45 AM at Riverside National Cemetery, Riverside, CA with full military honors conducted by the Marines Memorial Honor Detail.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
