Claire "Nuts" Kispert, age 75, of Lake Havasu City, AZ passed away on Wednesday, August 2, 2006. Claire Allen Kispert was born on January 27, 1931 in Kenyon, MN to George and Claribel Kispert. He was baptized at the Nerstrand, MN United Brethren Church and Confirmed at the Kenyon United Brethren Church.Claire graduated from the Kenyon High School in 1949, where he actively participated in sports and was an avid sports fan all his life. Claire served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War and was stationed at Fort Leonard Wood, MO. He married Ann Boehme on November 9, 1957. He was employed by Skeffingtons Men's Formal Wear for many years and managed the Edina, MN store until his retirement. He was a promoter of the Sheriff Sutherland's Celebrity Golf Tournament in Cambridge, MN for 14 years which raised money for the D.A.R.E. program. In Lake Havasu City he was a volunteer at the school working one on one with a special needs child. He was an ambassador of guest affairs at various restaurants in Lake Havasu.Claire is survived by three children, Merrianne (Ted) Knickelbine, Heidi and Tim Kispert, all of Lake Havasu City; one brother, Gerald Kispert (Gwen Roehl) of Bloomington, MN; two sisters, Jean (Cordet) Overby of Kenyon and Alice (Duane) Berg of Wanamingo; one Aunt, Martha Kispert of Faribault, MN; one grandson, Benjamin Knickelbine of Lake Havasu; many nieces and nephews and countless friends. He will be very much missed by all.He was preceded in death by his parents; his former wife, Ann; sister-in-law, Norleen Kispert and nephew, Bruce Berg.A celebration of life will be held Wednesday, August 9, 2006, 4:00 PM at the Eagles Aerie 4299.
