Clemens Andrew Wiesner, 100, passed away on Saturday, August 5, 2006 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on September 19, 1905 to George and Anna (Rupp) Wiesner. Clemens moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; 6 years ago from Denver, CO. He was hired by the Union Pacific Railroad in 1928, but it was difficult for him to maintain steady work during the Great Depression. He found jobs with the Works Progress Administration created by President Franklin D. Roosevelt and brought in extra money in the pool hall. After the Depression he was called back to Union Pacific, where he spent 42 years until retiring in 1970. Clemens was very active at the Senior Center and loved playing pool. He won the Denver Senior Billiards Championship twice in the 1970's and his children say he's still a "shark".Clemens is survived by his son Terry Wiesner of Lake Havasu City, AZ; daughter Sheila Spence of Lake Havasu City, AZ; 4 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Irene who were married in June of 1929.Graveside services will be held at Mount Olivet Cemetery in Wheat Ridge, CO; on Saturday, August 12, 2006 at 10:00 a.m. Rev.
