I am sending my condolences on the loss of James. I had the pleasure of working with him at Lorton in the 1970s. For a while we carpooled together (in his then-new Volvo); we played tennis together and my wife and I occasionally socialized with him and Betty. To this day, I have warm memories of James peaceful spirit, caring nature, and uniqueness. For me, you captured his essence in saying, "He always worked to help people...He was a good man who lived a life of quiet desperation."
May the good memories help you through this difficult time.
