Obituary of Marion JONES

Marion Jane (Worman) Jones, 61, passed away on Monday, August 14, 2006. She was born June 29, 1945 in Sudbury, Ontario, Canada to Cecil and Olga Worman. She moved to Florida as a young woman and raised her family there. She and her husband, Basil decided to retire to Lake Havasu City ten years ago, but her need to keep busy led her to establishing Family Thrift Shop where she met and made many good friends. Though she traveled extensively throughout her life, being at home with her family was her greatest joy and she loved making people feel welcome in her home. She was at her best when she had someone, whether friend or family, to take care of.She was a wonderful wife to Basil, who preceded her death; a generous and fun-loving mother to Susie Sparling and Dawn Jones; "the awesomest Granny ever" to Scotty Sparling and Samantha Jones, all of Lake Havasu City; a loving daughter to Olga Worman of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada; special sister to Fran (Robert) Croteau of Lake Havasu City and Joan (Vikter) Vukoja of Sudbury, Ontario, Canada; adored aunt to Gordie Croteau of Lake Havasu City, David Croteau, Johnny Savage and their families, all of Canada.She was preceded in death by her infant son, Douglas Wilson; father, Cecil Worman and two nephews, Brian Croteau and Jimmy Savage.A memorial service to celebrate Marion's life will be held at 10:00 am on Friday, August 18, 2006 at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home.
