Obituary of Frederick POLINSKI

Frederick W. Polinski (Grandpa), 85 years old, passed away August 19, 2006. He was born in Michigan and was a resident of Lakewood, CA most of his life until he moved to Lake Havasu City 17 years ago.Fred served 20 years in the Navy and retired as a BMC. He was awarded with the Silver Medal during World War II in 1943 for his gallantry and intrepidity in action aboard a Navy Cruiser, which was badly damaged during the engagement with Japan. He was an avid fisherman and spent many years traveling in his RV.Fred is survived by his grandchildren, Georgiana (Bud) Noble of Marysville, WA and Earl (Alicia) Ware of Lake Havasu City.He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Georgiana Mae.Memorial services and inurnment will be held at Tahoma National Cemetery in Kent, WA.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements entrusted to Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
