Carolyn Elaine Brejtfus, 59, passed away on August 25, 2006. She was born to Robert and Alice Taft on September 14, 1946 in Binghamton, NY.She graduated from Chenango Valley High School in 9164. In 1969 she moved to California with her son Bill Allen. She met her husband Jim in 1979. They moved to Lake Havasu in 1987.Carol knew no strangers, only people she hadn't yet met. She loved people. For all of us that knew her, "We'll miss you Carol and you will always be in our hearts".Carol was an active supporter of the Crossroads Mission in Yuma, AZ, helping care for the homeless. She enjoyed hiking, was an avid rock hound, bird watching and anything to do with nature.Carolyn is survived by her beloved husband and best friend of 28 years, Jim; son, Bill (Dana) Allen of San Diego, CA; daughter, Sunny (Rob) of Alaska; two brothers, Chuck (Susan) Taft of New York and Ed Taft of Virginia; sister, Loretta (Gary) Brooks of New York and four grandchildren, John, Brianna, Taylor, Emily; nieces, nephews and a very special nephew Paul Brooks & companion Scott Pool of Hollywood, CA and many friends that loved her very muchShe was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Alice Taft and two sister-in-laws, Carol and Connie Taft.A memorial service will be held Saturday, September 2, 2006, 2:00 pm at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Rev. Richard Rounds will officiate.The family has requested donations be made in Carolyn's name to Crossroads Mission, 944 S.
