James Dale Bradfield Jr. passed away peacefully on August 28, 2006 at 11:48 pm. He was 74 years old. He was born on January 19, 1932 in Topeka, KS to James and Margaret (Shaw) Bradfield.James and his wife retied in Lake Havasu City, AZ in 1991. He owned his own auto parts store in San Diego for 40 years. James served his country proudly under the direction of the United States Army during the Korean Conflict.James was an avid fisherman. He loved NASCAR and used to race Go Karts back in the day. James enjoyed entertaining, music, playing cards and crossword puzzles. James cherished traveling. He was recently known as the Vespa guy. He will be missed tremendously by all who knew him, including his cat Princess.com. James leaves behind his best friend and loving wife of 50 years, Leona; two sons, Jim (Liz) Bradfield of San Diego, CA and Jerry (Sherry) Bradfield of Newport Beach, CA; sister, Joy Stoops of Yucca Valley, CA and two grandchildren, Brody and Amanda.Members of the Elks will conduct the Lodge of Sorrow followed by a celebration of Jim's life Friday, September 1, 2006, 10:00 am at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.
