Juanita Virginia Bazal passed away peacefully at Prestige Assisted Living located in Lake Havasu City, AZ on Tuesday, October 17, 2006. Her departure followed a three week battle with the effects of a stroke.She was born September 26, 1912 in Colony, OK. Juanita and her husband Leo moved to Long Beach, CA in 1946. She resided there until her husband's death in 1984, then moved to Leisure World in Seal Beach, CA. In 2002 she told her family that she loved Lake Havasu and wanted to move there. Her son, Ken had taken her to the lake on several occasions and she always had such fond memories of the area. She moved to Prestige Assisted Living in Lake Havasu City four years ago. She loved being driven to the lake and would always comment how beautiful the lake looked today. She loved to play Bingo with all of her friends at Prestige. Juanita retired from Robertshaw Graysons in Long Beach where she worked for 25 years.Juanita is survived by two sons, Kenneth L. Bazal (Billie Kaye) of Huntington Beach, CA, Donald J. Bazal of Lake Havasu City; grandchildren, Keri Dawn Jones (Greg) of Kingsport, TN, Kenneth Bazal Jr. (Trish) of Antioch, CA, Gloria Maria Bazal (Jason) of Lake Havasu City, Lori Dawn Bazal (Dennis of Peoria, AZ; great grandchildren, Kevin, Ethan, Alisa, Rea, Jacob, Christian and a brother J.B. Anderson of Oklahoma City, OK.She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 50 years, Leo T. Bazal; brother Tommy C. Anderson; sisters, Thelma Clift and Aliene Blackburn-Watkins.To her family she was a loving, affectionate and generous wife, mother and grandma. To her Prestige family she was a friend to the entire staff and her fellow residents. A special thanks to Hospice of Havasu for their support.Graveside services will be held on Saturday, October 28 at Forest Lawn in Cypress, CA.
