Obituary of William A. Kingman
Please share a memory of William to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
William A. Kingman "Bill" passed away September 2, 2015 at the age of 66 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born on October 22, 1948 to Lucylle and William W. Kingman in Dayton, OH. He attended 8th grade at Brown Military Academy, Glendale CA and met ex-president Eisenhower who made a comment on how small he dad was. He went to Upland High School in 1967 and attended AA Pasadena City College. He owned several businesses by the names of Auto Art Inc, Ultramount Inc, and Kingman Enterprises.
Bill was a complicated man. The most passionate man you would ever meet; brilliant. He wore his heart on his sleeve. He had a lot of great friends which he made easily. He was always the most enthusiastic person in the room.
He was most proud of being an inventor. Of his many innovative ideas, he most notably invented a lithography process using diffraction to create logo decals in the late 70's selling nationwide in Wal-Mart among others for brands including Chevy, Ford, Datsun, Toyota, and Nissan. His process ultimately won him a contract where he built a machine which modified missile guidance chips used by the U.S. government. He could fix just about anything, and holds several patented inventions. Whether it was flying, building machines, boating, fishing, building cars, or working on his latest idea; it was always with passion and at full throttle. Bill wasn't famous but he was extremely talented. He left a lot in his wake; he wouldn't have wanted to live any other way. In the end, he was taken quickly by lung cancer.
Bill leaves behind his daughter, Nicole; granddaughter, Katie, and his sister, Lynne.
