Obituary of Lela CAMUNEZ

Lela Bray Camunez, 63, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2006 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on January 16, 1943 in St. Joseph, MO; and was the only child of Cyrill and Carrie (Abbott) Bray.Lela was an accomplished professional rollerskater in her youth. She lived many years in Los Angeles, CA, where she worked in the mortgage and real estate industries. Lela retired to Lake Havasu City, AZ, where she has resided since 1994, enjoying many wonderful friendships developed through her love of golf and tennis.Lela is remembered for her love of life, her extraordinary compassion for animals and her love of sports.Lela is survived by her former husband, Orlando "O.J.", her stepchildren Laura, Orlando, Michael and step-grandson Joshua. Also many loving friends, including her cherished friend of more than 35 years, Donnell Russell, and her beloved pets Bo, Jazmine and Tammi.A Celebration of Lela's life will be held at Lietz-Fraze Chapel on Saturday, November 11, 2006 at 4:00 p.m. Chaplain Katherine Kenney will officiate. Lela will be buried with her parents in St. Joseph, MO.
