Obituary of Ella BROCKSIEPER

Ella Brocksieper, 87 passed away November 12, 2006 in her home in Lake Havasu City AZ. She was born to Louis Charles Luppens and Jeanette Christie on March 14, 1919 in Philadelphia, PA.One of the most memorable events in her life was dancing for Thomas Edison when she lived in Fort Myers, Florida. She was 3 years old and her dance class was invited to his home to perform.Ella moved to Lake Havasu City 5 years ago from San Gabriel, CA. Her career included positions as a senior technical editor with a top security clearance, for the Cal Tech Jet Propulsion Laboratories and the Xerox Corporation, both located in Pasadena, CA. After retiring from a long and satisfying career, she volunteered at the San Gabriel Hospital for 5 years as clerical support. She then volunteered at the San Gabriel Police Department where she was recommended by the police chief for the San Gabriel Valley Volunteer Woman of the Year Award. She was given that award in 2001 at age 81. She also enjoyed her family and friends and traveling.Ella is survived by her loving family, sons Bob (Paula) of Lake Havasu City and John from San Jose, CA; three grandchildren, Beckie Riggs (Derrick), Brian Anderson, Amy Gingrich (Steve) and five great-grandchildren, Austin, Georgia, Caroline, Brittney and Stephen all of CA.A celebration of her life will be held at a later date with family and close friends.The family would like to thank Hospice of Havasu for their kind, loving, compassionate care of our mom and grandmother.
