Robert Carroll Cadwell passed away Tuesday, November 28, 2006 in Lake Havasu City at the age of 81. Born on August 24, 1925 in Albuquerque, N.M. to William W. Cadwell Sr. and Lora (Harwell) Cadwell.Graduated from Phoenix Northern High School and Arizona State University, and also attended several other universities. Proudly served as a fighter pilot with the United States Navy during World War II. Worked as an educator for many year, including one year in Korea where he taught English, and where he met Rita Griffin. They married in 1951. Bob taught at Purdue University and also constructed student housing there for some years before returning to Arizona in 1969. He built several subdivisions in the early days of Lake Havasu City, opened and ran a computer school, and later joined the faculty of Mohave Community College's Computer Information Systems.He married Mary G. Sullivan in 2000. She survives him, as so nephew Dan Cadwell; niece Carol Otter, both of Boise, ID; extended family John and Toady Dolan and children and many other nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his parents, brother William W. Cadwell Jr., and first wife, Rita Cadwell.A memorial service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Tuesday, December 5, 2006 at 7:00 pm and a memorial Mass will be said at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, Wednesday, December 6, 2006 at 10:00 am, followed by a reception in the parish hall. Father Fidelis Igwenwanne will officiate.Donations may be made in Bob's name to Hospice of Havasu, PO Box 597, Lake Havasu City, AZ 86405.
