Obituary of George BABBITT

George Eugene Babbitt, 93, passed away December 19, 2006 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Ray and Anna (Schulmeister) Babbitt on May 30, 1913 in Davenport, IA.George married the love of his life, Alice McElroy on May 27, 1937. He was the manager of Riverside Recreation Center in Riverside, CA for 12 years. George loved to bowl, golf and all other sports. He loved to spend time with his family and his faithful companion Susie Q. He was an avid ham operator and loved to read. George is survived by his beloved wife of 69 years, Alice; son, James (Peggy) Babbitt of Chino Valley, AZ; daughters Judy (George) Rada of Lake Havasu, AZ and Peggy Norris of Cassville, MO; brother, Richard (Virginia) Babbitt of Hemet, CA; sister, Phyllis Mallory of Huntington Beach, CA; 8 grandchildren, 13 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother and four sisters.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
