Obituary of Nancy Jean Valentine

NANCY JEAN VALENTINE Nancy Jean Valentine passed away October 10, 2013 in Phoenix, AZ at the age of 77. She was born September 18, 1936 in St. Louis, MO to Henry Robert Rock and Ethel Mae Henshaw. Nancy was a wonderful example of a giving soul. She enjoyed volunteering at the Lake Havasu Regional Hospital. Helping others brought her great joy. She would strike up a conversation with strangers, and soon they became her friends. Grandma always reminded us how important it is to reach out to others to show you care. In a busy life, a quick phone call does wonders for the heart. Cookies, dinner parties, family occasions were a few things that made Nancy glow and shine. Her sister, brothers, children, grandchildren, nieces and nephews were the light of her eye. Goodbyes were her weakness. God knew this, so he took her quickly. We look forward to seeing her again… singing and dancing in the arms of the Lord. A Memorial Service will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home on Friday, October 18, 2013 at 10:00 AM with Char Lawrence offering words of comfort.
