Obituary of Melita HAAS

Melita (Skeeter) Mae Haas, 78 passed away peacefully at her home after a lingering illness February 2, 2007. She was born April 24, 1928 to Elsie and Herman Butcher in Prairie Home, Missouri.She married her loving husband Fred C. Haas, Jr., on August 17, 1946. They moved to Las Vegas and onto Concord, CA where they owned multiple Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurants. After moving to Lake Havasu City in 1971, she worked for H & 0 Foods until retiring.Skeeter is survived by her loving husband and best friend for 60 years, Fred C. Haas, Jr, one son, Bud and wife Linda, one grandson, Fred C. Haas, IV and wife Tessa and two great grandchildren, Hailey and Liam. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends. Skeeter was preceded in death by her parents, her two brothers Bob and Jack Butcher and her sister Sue Alpers.There will be no services and in lieu of flowers the family request donations be made to Hospice of Havasu, P.O.
