Wave Lee Hendricks, 43, passed away on Sunday, February 11, 2007 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on September 9, 1963 in Mt. Carrol, IL; to Herbert Lee and Shirley Ann Poorman. Wave was the youngest of four loving sisters. As a child, Wave moved from Illinois to New York and finally to Southern California. At age 14, she began studying radio and voice at a prominent Los Angeles radio station. In high school, Wave was very active in choir, play productions and student government. Business law and video productions were her major focal points in Wave's college education. She co-anchored a college news program, did voice-overs for radio commercials, and created her own production company, Pacific Entertainment Network. This company produced video commercials and video documentary works, as well as the children's play "Jump Rope" in which Wave played a major part in plot, music and choreography development. Concurrent with her entertainment ventures, Wave became involved in real estate development, as a property manager, and worked for two commercial real estate development companies. She managed shopping centers in Central and Southern California. After proving herself as a successful property manager, Wave went on to assist others with business portfolios and business start-up operations.Wave moved to Lake Havasu City, AZ; in January of 1994. The following year she joined the teaching staff at Telesis Center for Learning. She quickly became involved in administrative duties and took on the position of Director of Operations, exercising her keen business acumen in executive decision making. Wave is a major reason why Telesis in what it is today - a thriving Arizona Charter School.Drury Lane Community Theatre had seen Wave as an actress, director and president when it was in operation. A gourmet cooking club of her design has been very fun and enjoyable for family and friends alike. Wave's love for travel has taken her to France, England, Italy, Mexico and the Caribbean. Her enthusiasm to see the world has rubbed off on many who loved her.Wave is survived by her loving husband John Hendricks, sisters, Cathy, Gladys, and Faye. She was preceded in death by her parents and brother, Lance.She will be dearly missed by family, friends and the community at large and also her friends scattered throughout the world.A Celebration of Life will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday, February 18, 2007 at Liez-Fraze Chapel. Words of comfort and inspiration will be expressed by Chaplain Katherine Kenney.
