Connie Mae Williams, 88, was called home by our Heavenly Father on Thursday, February 15, 2007 after a short illness. She was born on September 13, 1918 in Bingle, AR; to William Talmadge and Hattie May (Sission) King. Connie married Chester Howard Williams on December 24, 1934. She and her husband moved to Los Angeles, CA; in 1936, and then relocated to Riverside, CA. Connie worked as a records clerk supervisor for the Riverside County Sheriff's Department. She and her husband spent a few years in Banning, CA; Oxnard, CA; Morrilton, AR; Ventura, CA; Paradise, CA; and finally relocated to Lake Havasu City, AZ; in 2000. Connie was a member of the Confederacy, Eastern Star and Altrusa Club.Connie is survived by her loving husband of 73 years, Chester Howard Williams Sr., son Chet Williams and wife Sandy of Lake Havasu City, AZ; brothers, Dr. O.Ray King and wife Dorothy of Arkansas and Otis F. King and wife Virginia of Louisiana; granddaughters, Carrie Thompson and husband Rex of Prescott, AZ; Shellie Castleman and husband Luis of Santa Barbara, CA; great grandchildren, USN HM S. James Parsons Jr. of Japan; Megan Pruitt of Prescott, AZ; David B. Pruitt of Anaheim, CA; great great grandson Matthew; two nephews and two nieces.
