Obituary of Marilyn WELLS

Marilyn Lee Wells, 75, beloved wife of Rex Wells passed away peacefully on Thursday afternoon, March 1st.Marilyn was born and raised in Long Beach, California and was proud to be a Long Beach Polytechnic High School Jackrabbit. Marilyn and Rex met in Richmond, Washington where she was employed at the Hanford Nuclear Facility, and they were married on September 24th, 1957. Marilyn spent many years lovingly serving her family as a stay-at-home mother, and she was later employed at Focus on the Family.Marilyn and Rex moved to Lake Havasu City in 1994 from Monrovia, California where they lived for 35 years. Marilyn loved her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, her family and the many friends she had throughout California and Arizona.Marilyn is survived by her daughter Linda Lawhorn and her husband Greg and children Kevin, Sarah and Grace residing in Norfolk, Nebraska; her son Kurt and his wife Gina residing in Redondo Beach, California; and her son Keith and his wife Jane residing in Los Angeles, California.A memorial was held at Lake Havasu Bible Fellowship on Monday, March 5th at 1:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that a memorial donation be offered in her name to the American Diabetes Association at www.diabetes.org or by phone at 800-DIABETES.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family atwww.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
