Theodore William GobleTheodore (Ted) Goble passed away at his home in Lake Havasu City, he was 88. Theodore, the son of George and Hazel (Hethcote) Goble, was born June 19th, 1918 at Ainsworth, Iowa. He attended grade and High school and the Methodist Church of Ainsworth. He farmed with his brother until he went into the army in 1942. He served with the 555th Quartermaster Corp landing on day 3 of the Normandy invasion (Omaha beach). He was discharged in 1946.On February 10th 1947 he married Arlene Lauderdale at the Little Brown Church at Nashua, Iowa.Ted retired from farming and joined the Carpenters Union in 1959 and worked at his trade until he retired in 1983.Ted ad Arlene moved to Lake Havasu City in 1994. Ted enjoyed traveling and his grandchildren, Ted also enjoyed golf and dancing as well as Square dancing.He was preceded in death by his parents George and Hazel, twin sisters Velma and Zelma, his brother Edward, infant daughter Georga Anne and son Steven.He is survived by his wife Arlene of 60 years, daughter Christie Goble, grandchildren Angelique Michelle, Sarah Baldik, William Windmeyer, great grandchildren Pharlea, his sister June and nieces and nephews.He will be remembered as Dude, his childhood nickname, by family and Ted by many friends.He will also be remembered as generous, kind and caring and for his good humor, sparkling eyes and charming smile.
