Raymond Korv, 94, of Lake Havasu City went home to be with his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ on September 10, 2015.
Raymond was born on January 21, 1921 in Tallin, Estonia. He remained in his homeland until the Russian occupation of the Baltic States. In 1946, Ray decided to join the U.S. Army where he served as a Corporal stationed in Germany.
In 1949, Ray came to the United States and went into the culinary industry. He began as a baker and then became a chef. Raymond had a real passion for cooking and often invited his friends and loved ones to join him in tasting his cuisine.
In 1974, Ray met the love his life, Peggy Jahnke and in 1975 they were married. They had a deep and abiding love that lasted for 40 years. Ray and Peggy had 2 loving sons, Raymond Richard and Rudolf Erik. As a family they loved spending quality time together when Ray was not working.
Raymond also had a deep love and devotion to the Lord. In 1983, he accepted Christ as his Savior and in 1984 Ray was united in baptism with his wife and sons. He was very dedicated to his Church. His love for the Lord, his family, and Church knew no bounds.
Raymond is survived by his wife, Peggy, his sons, Raymond (Lisa) of Kansas; Rudy (Jaccalyn) of Oregon; daughter, Reet of Estonia; 7 grandchildren and 7 great-grandchildren. He will be missed by all that knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life will take place on Wednesday, September 23rd, 11:00 a.m. at Bethany Bible Church of Lake Havasu City, AZ.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Continuum Home Hospice, LLC in Lake Havasu City or the American Cancer Society.
