Please share a memory of Robert to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Robert Albert McClure, 91, passed away on the morning of June 10, 2014.
"Bob" spent his life believing in his God and helping others. After serving in WWII, he pursued a career in accounting in the United States, Arabia, Japan and Korea. He retired in San Diego, California and later moved to Lake Havasu City in 1984 to enjoy the warm climates of Arizona.
Bob was a member of Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus and the local VFW. During his retirement, Bob also worked for the Lake Havasu City School District as a school teacher.
While his interests were few, he was dedicated to his church, family, friends and neighbors as well as everyone he met on his journey. Due to his extensive travels, he was a fascinating story teller.
Bob is survived by his nieces: Janet Danese of Cranston, RI, Peggy Danese of Saco, ME, Agnes Klement of Greenville, RI, and nephews: Richard Danese of Blackstone, MA, and Phillip Danese of Charleston, RI. He was preceded in death by his parents, grandparents, brothers and sisters.
Robert has finished his work here on earth and is now with his maker.
Visitation and Rosary will be held at Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home Thursday, June 12 from 6-8pm, with Rosary being said at 7pm. Mass will be held on Friday, June 13 at 10am at Our Lady of the Lake Catholic Church. Military Honors will be performed by VFW Post 9401 and American Legion Post 81.
