Samuel Lynn HoweSam Howe, 78, passed away April 25, 2007, at his home in Lake Havasu City, AZ. Sam was born Feb. 18, 1929, to Rueben and Annabelle (Moore) Howe in Los Angeles, CA. Sam married Jacqueline Reynolds, at the Craig Congregational Church in Paradise on Sept. 5, 1948.Sam was an Operating Engineer for 30 years, retiring in 1987. He loved the outdoors, hunting big game, fishing and metal detecting for treasures. He had a deep respect for nature which he passed down to his children. Many happy memories were made at the family cabin on the West Branch in Coon Hollow.He and Jackie traveled as full-time RV'ers for 15 years, settling in Lake Havasu City for the past 7 years.Sam is survived by his devoted wife, Jackie; sister Frances Greslie of Paradise; brother Jack Howe of Sacramento; 4 children born and raised in Paradise, daughters Terry Howe Dawson and Donna Howe; sons Daniel Howe and Dean Howe; 5 grandchildren, Joshua Dawson, John VanStavern, Ryan Howe, Nathan Howe and Hannah Howe and one great-grandson, Logan Dawson of Chico.A celebration of Life will be held on Sunday, June 17, 2007, 3:00 PM at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Don Greslie, 5605 Malian Lane, Paradise, CA.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
