Obituary of Benedetto CRACCO

Benedetto "Ben" Cracco, 92, passed away April 27, 2007 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Benedetto and Teresa (Messing) Cracco on February 16, 1915 in Messina, Italy.Ben married his best friend Carmella Rubino on December 5, 1937 and together they made Lake Havasu their home 2 years ago from River Vale, New Jersey. Ben was a self employed shoemaker for 50 years in Jackson Heights, NY. He was a member of the River Vale Seniors Club for 16 years; enjoyed watching football, baseball and golf. He loved playing billiards and had a wonderful vegetable and rose garden. Ben had a unique ability to talk to anybody about anything and was a great ballroom dancer at Roseland in New York. He will be greatly missed by his two grandsons, Dante and Nicholas.Ben leaves behind his beloved family, sons, Ben Cracco, Joe Cracco and Robert Cracco, all of Long Island, NY; daughters, Terry Patricola of Lake Havasu and Linda Ambadjes of New Hyde Park, NY; ten grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Carmella who passed away on November 23, 2005.A viewing will be held Tuesday, May 1, 2007, 1:00 PM followed by the funeral services at 1:30 PM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel. Words of comfort and inspiration will be presented by Rev. Carol Sheffield.
