Emily Stedman Machut, 95 years young, passed away on Sunday, May 27th, 2007 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. She was born on March 14, 1912 in Eau Claire, WI; to William John and Anna (Melon) Stedman.When Emily was born she weighed only 1 ½ pounds. They baptized her and sent her home. Emily lived in a cigar box by an old wood stove to keep her warm. She was two years old before she could walk. Emily enjoyed gardening and when she was younger, she belonged to the Eastern Star.Emily is survived by her son, Daniel Machut of Wildomar, CA; daughter, Patricia Humes of San Jose, CA; and quite a few grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Milton Edward Machut.
