Obituary of Stella McCORKLE

Stella Iola McCorkle, 83, passed away on June 6, 207 in Lake Havasu City, AZ., with her family by her side. She was born on November 30, 1923 in Large, PA; to Peter and Mabel (Jester) McCorkle.Stella married Dean Emerson McCorkle on October 11, 1943. Together they raised 4 sons, Dean Jr., Bruce, Jay and Duane. Stella and Dean moved to Lake Havsu City, AZ; in 1989, where they lived until 2003. They then moved back to Pennsylvania to enjoy the four seasons, making their home in Elizabeth. Stella remained in Elizabeth following the death of her husband in February of 2006. She then re-located back to Lake Havasu City, AZ; in April/May of 2007. Stella is survived by her 4 sons, Dean E. McCorkle, Jr., and Eugene Bruce McCorkle, Jay D. McCorkle and wife Stephanie all of Lake Havasu City, AZ; Duane A. McCorkle of Shippensburg, PA; brother Eugene "Bud" Venora and wife Ginger of Floreffe, PA; and grandchildren, Dustin McCorkle, Hailee McCorkle and Collin McCorkle. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Dean E. McCorkle, sisters, Rose and Alberta and her daughter-in-law, Helen McCorkle.Visitation will be held at Jefferson Memorial Funeral Home in Pleasant Hill, PA; on Monday, June 11, 2007 from 9 to 11 a.m. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Rev. Donald Johnson officiating. Interment will immediately follow at Jefferson Memorial Park.
