Paul Ludvigsen, 75 , died on June 6, 2007, at Lake Havasu City, Arizona. He was born in Ladysmith, Wisconsin, and was the youngest of 11 children. He grew up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin and moved to Chicago at age 14 to live in grandmother's attic and begin working as a newspaper pressman, a job he worked at for approximately 40 years. He worked throughout the country at newspapers such as the Los Angeles Herald Examiner, the Daily Racing Form, the Miami Herald, the Toledo Blade, the Detroit Free Press and others. Before living in Lake Havasu, he was a resident of Azusa, California. Paul is survived by his wife of 56 years, Gloria Ludvigsen, who he met in Chicago; his sons, Calvin (wife Kathleen) and Paul, both of Glendora, California; his daughters, Cynthia (husband Gary Silvius) of San Bernardino, California, and Judith Saso (husband James) of Upland, California. He also is survived by his grandchildren, Lindsay and Kaylan Ludvigsen; Laura, Stephen and Elizabeth Silvius; Amanda Ludvigsen; and Joseph and Jarrett Saso, and three sisters, Gladys Aichele of Morgan Hill, California, Mary Scholbrock of Hayward, Wisconsin, and Florence Zawistowski of Holcombe, Wisconsin.His family says he was a generous man who cared for others more than he did for himself. He could build or repair anything and was always willing to use his skills to help family and friends. A memorial service will be held on Sunday, June 10, 2007, at 3 p.m. at the Lake Havasu Fraternal Order of Eagles, 1516 Marlboro Drive, Lake Havasu City, Arizona.
