Obituary of Susie Lorene Morgan

Susie Lorene Morgan, a longtime resident of Lake Havasu City, went to be with the Lord on October 23, 2013 at the age of 92. She was born in Wright City, Oklahoma on October 28, 1920 to Henry and Willie (Daniels) James. In 1936 she married Clyde Aaron Morgan and they were married for 73 years! They had two children, a son, Don Morgan, and a daughter, Lois Ruiz.
In 1940 Clyde and Susie moved from Battiest, OK to Phoenix, AZ and then relocated to Lake Havasu City in 1964. They became charter and active members of First Southern Baptist Church in 1965. Following Clyde's retirement, they enjoyed spending the summers in their RV at Whitehorse or Mormon Lake. They would ride their quads all day with their dog, Chip.
Susie was a homemaker and wonderful cook. She enjoyed her family, friends, and her little Yorkies, Radar and Dolly. She also enjoyed feeding the rabbits and birds and crocheting; making countless hangers and kitchen towels for her family and friends.
Sue is survived by her son Don Morgan, five grandchildren, Debbie McBride, (Jim), John Smith, (Cheri), Liz Spano, (Bob), Anne McBride, (Larry), and Dorice Shaneyfelt, thirteen great grandchildren, Stephanie McBride, Johnny Moore, Rebecca Romer, Laura Taute, Jeffrey Walker, Wesley Walker, Cody Walker, Jamie Coyle, Jayson McBride, Bradley McBride, Amy McBride, Kelli Shaneyfelt, and Chelsea Shaneyfelt, and two great-great grandchildren, Hayleigh & Morgan.
Susie was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Morgan, and daughter, Lois Ruiz.
Funeral services will be held at the First Baptist Church on Friday, November 1, 2013 at 11:00 a.m. Words of comfort and inspiration will be offered by Pastor Luis Hernandez. Burial will follow at Lake Havasu Memorial Gardens.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in her name to First Baptist Church.
