Marvin Leon Kester, 73, passed away July 20, 2007 in Lake Havasu City, AZ. He was born to Leon and Violet (Schaffer) Kester on April 16, 1934 in Walnutport, PA.Marvin graduated high school from Slatington High School in Pennsylvania in 1952. From there he attended and graduated from Millersville Teachers College in 1956. He was a baseball and football coach at Coplay and Slatington High School. Marvin was the past President of Northern Lehigh Education Association, as well as a teacher at Northern Lehigh School District for 30 years. He was a partner and curator of Kema Indian Museum in Walnutport, PA. Marvin had special interests in Indian relics, woodworking, road trips and books.Marvin leaves behind his beloved wife, whom he has been together with for 30 years, Susan Kester of Lake Havasu; sons, James Kester of New Tripoli, PA and Eric Kester of Catasauqua, PA; daughter, Lynn Kester of Lehighton, PA; brother, Bruce Kester of Walnutport, PA and five grandchildren.A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 26, 2007, 10:00 AM at Lietz-Fraze Chapel.Thoughts and condolences may be submitted to the family at www.lietz-frazefuneralhome.comArrangements were placed under the care of Lietz-Fraze Funeral Home & Crematory.
