Obituary of Dan PETERSEN

DAN MARCHER PETERSENDan Petersen, 88, passed away on August 19, 2007 in Lake Havasu City. He was born February 28, 1919 in Clear Lake, Iowa. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy during World War II.He worked for the City of Lompoc, California for 22 years as head of the Light and Water Department. After retirement, he opened a motorcycle and boat shop. He later sold that business and spent time as a commercial salmon fisherman out of Avila Beach, California. He was an avid woodworker and was affectionately known as Handyman Dan.Dan moved to Lake Havasu City in 1993. He was preceded in death by his wife of 50 years, Betty, who passed away in 1994.
