Marshall Midler passed away on August 23rd after a valiant fight with cancer. He died peacefully in his home with his family by his side. His illness and passing were made so much easier thanks to the kind and loving care of Hospice of Havasu. They have been angels to us all.Marshall was born Feb. 6, 1922 in West Hollywood, California. He served in the Army and is a veteran of WWII. After returning from the war, Marshall owned a roofing contracting business for several years in Gardena. When he married hiswife Jessie he moved to Long Beach, CA and became a Real Estate Developer and Realtor.In 1985, Marshall retired from Real Estate and moved with Jessie to Lake Havasu City. Always on the go, Marshall took his love for fishing and became a local fishing guide. He was also a regular on the golf course, playing with his friends, the Geezers. Proudly, Marshall got 4 Holes in One! He also loved to throw horseshoes. Partnered with his son Jerry, they competed in and won several of the tournaments put on by the Lake Havasu Parks & Recreation Dept.The family home is full of Marshall's art work. After taking several ceramics classes at Mohave Community College, Marshall set up his own ceramics studio at home. His work includes statues, pots, vases and masks. He loved to make special pieces for friends and family for gifts.Marshall loved to garden and he built a small greenhouse where he grew all kinds of organic fruits and vegetables.Marshall is survived by his wife of 34 years, Jessie. He is also survived by his son, Jerry Midler of Lake Havasu City; his step daughters, Suzy Dukelow of Coto de Caza, CA, Liz Grabowski of Lake Havasu; his grandchildren Joseph Cooley, Lance Midler, Caroline Dukelow, Max Dukelow, Bob Stokes and Sandy Larsen. He also has 4 great-grandchildren.
